About the Torrance Training Since the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking are standardized and highly reliable, it is necessary that potential scorers go through the test-out process. In order to pass the test-out process, homework assignments will be given on Thursday and Friday evenings. In addition, three sample tests will be distributed upon completion of the training to be scored and returned to the Torrance Center. Certification requirements are set by the Torrance Center at the University of Georgia. Upon meeting the standard of reliability, the Torrance Center will issue you a certificate of competency authorizing you to score this test. About the trainers: Lynn Howard, Leah Meulemans, and Tara Strang have worked closely with the Torrance Center at the University of Georgia for several years. Leah has been certified to administer and score the Torrance since 2001, Lynn and Tara have been certified since 2002. All three trainers score Torrances in their large district and have also scored Torrances for several systems in Tennessee. In 2013, Lynn, Tara, and Leah completed a five year partnership with the Torrance Center thus becoming authorized trainers.
